Depth Psychology

Since depth psychology is such an enormous, erratic and laborious rock of psychological thinking and acting, it easily generates followers or ignorance. The wealth of insights and experience, therefore, only emerge when one makes the effort of acquiring the cumbersome terminology and way of thinking. Then, however, psycho-analysis becomes more interesting and it is significant for many aspects of our understanding of change in meta theory. Depth-psychological thinking develops different aspects in clients and customers by creating connections, it forces a functional understanding of symptomatics and it reckons with the persistence of existing patterns.

Meanwhilst, the psycho-analytical concepts about the inner structure of the psyche, its developmental psychology and parts of its language, and particularly, its understanding of the counselling relationship, are now very questionable, due to many new psychological insights and reveal a clear need for adjustment.
