Decision Dimensions

In his system theory, Niklas Luhmann has placed the concept of sense dimensions very centrally. We take up this concept here and can see a connection between the guiding distinctions of organisations and the objective, social and time dimensions. With the help of its decisions about the guiding processes the organisation creates its stability. This stability is needed in all three sense dimensions.

  • It needs objective stability and cultivates this via the guiding processes of networking, decision orientation and quality focus.
  • It needs social stability and achieves this via the guiding processes social complexity, decision maker and personnel.
  • It needs time stability and lives this via the guiding processes of handling the past, the present and the future.
